How Our Software Works

3PMobile™ – Extend Your Web Strategy to Mobile Users

  • Provides your Web service with real-time user, device and location data
  • Simplifies the extension of policies and permissions to mobile users
  • Enables custom menu-based navigation in the browser
  • Supports data privacy and control

3PMobile™ is Client-Server Software:

  1. The Mobile client integrates with the browser to aggregate, encrypt and deliver user, device, and location data from the mobile device to your Web server.
  2. The Web server module (Apache) or filter (IIS) enables data encryption, content acceleration and mobile file upload functions. It also lets you customize the Mobile browser menus to showcase your brand and for easy mobile navigation.

How We Work

Committed to Open Web Standards

3PMobile™ is built on the same principals as Mod_Gzip, our previous contribution to the Open Source community:  extensible, scalable and open.

  • Extensible via Company Defined Headers. Our solution uses the W3C approved “X Header” format so that you can define your own header names for transferring meta data to the server. To deliver real-time customized browser menus back to the device, we use simple HTML commands that can be dynamically added to the Web page.
  • Scalable to Additional Servers via CGI. 3PMobile™ uses CGI environment variables to transfer data to any backend Web app that needs it.
  • Open via our API’s that allow any developer to attach meta data from their existing mobile applications to our thin mobile app and then send that data to their Web services.
  • Utilizes Your Existing Web App Infrastructure

3PMobile™ is infrastructure (middleware) software that is designed to scale to new devices and networks and does not require dedicated mobile servers or gateways. You simply adjust the business logic of your Web app to accept the incoming mobile metadata and return mobile content.

The server module works with both Apache and Microsoft IIS Web servers and the client application is designed to work with any device built upon a Smartphone/PDA operating system such as Windows Mobile, RIM, Android, iPhone or Symbian. Installation and configuration follows accepted IT practices and Web standards.
